My thoughts:
The Snows of Nissa follows Duna, the Kingdom of Tyros’s deadliest warrior, orphaned by the war and forced her to pick up a sword. She has made herself into an impenetrable wall. With her heart locked away, she’s determined that nothing will get in her way to keep the Kingdom safe.

Not even the ruthless General Cathal, the most handsome man she’s ever seen.

This story grabbed my attention from the beginning. It’s light on the fantasy but has plenty of spice 🌶️. There’s twists and turns, romance, mythical creatures and a strong FMC. Duna is a badass who doesn’t need a man to take care of her.

Our MMC is a mysterious, brooding General with an even filthier mouth. He can’t seem to stay away even though he’s meant to marry someone else. This love was instant and seems fated. I do prefer a slow-burn romance, but I did enjoy reading this.

I absolutely cannot wait for the next book! And with that cliffhanger ending, I need it ASAP! The Storms of Fury is out October 2023.
